Be Right Back!

Hello to any blog readers that may still check this dusty blog once in a blue moon. I've been shamefully neglectful with my news and reviews; saw the whole season at Passe Muraille, which was great food for thought, but stopped writing my thoughts down. This is mostly because I accepted a position teaching full-time at Centennial College, and if anyone has been a first-term college professor with almost 150 students, five classes, two courses to write, and no TAs, you will understand that I have had no life, and theatre has taken a backseat.

However, I will be involved with a Fringe show this summer, which is very exciting! I am doing some dramaturgy on Mute, an awesome play by Wren Handman, winner of Best New Play in the 2007 Victoria Fringe Festival (and we're making it even better, so think about that)! The play is directed by Michael Bergmann and starring Rachelle Magil and two other lovely actors who I will have the pleasure of meeting shortly for our first table read. I am looking forward to the rest of the experience very much (and working with An Act of Pluffie Productions)! There will be more about this show in the coming weeks, so look for that.

I am looking forward to getting back into writing this blog. The Great Theatre of Life has just been a lot more Life and a lot less Theatre lately.
